A true evaluation of a helmet is best done following impact incident. However fit, weight and low noise level are supreme! Airflow is adequate and the design is sexy. I chose the light silver to accentuate the lines of the shell and it shines beautifully. I went with the thicker middle pad as I’m right between M and L. Ear pieces seem to want to pop out occasionally but I’m happy with this helmet so far and hope I don’t need to review against impact incident. Also must say HH has much better service than Revzilla.

I originally purchased my first Neotec Modular Helmet the year they came out in 2011. I had this Helmet for the past 13 years figured it was time to update. I just recently purchased a Neotec 3 helmet. I had good weather to test it out here in Eastern Montana which worked out well because its Winter here we got a freak warm up day out of the blue got to 50 degrees then we had a snow storm the following day. I went for a motorcycle ride that day it warmed up. I rode 90 miles at various speeds on the highway testing out the ventilation system on the helmet they work well. Helmet noise from my Neotec 1 Helmet to the Neotec 3 Helmet was reduced by 30% more comfortable than my old helmet. Fit and finish overall its a major improvement over the original 2011 Neotec. I would buy this helmet again in the modular design in the future as long as Shoei keeps manufacturing them to high standards.

I’ve been wearing SHOEI helmets for more than 15 years now, and the Neotec 3 just reminds me why I never switched. A buddy first introduced me to SHOEI by telling me the price, and I remember saying, “That’s too much.” He just looked at me and said, “How much is your head worth?” That was it—I bought my first SHOEI, and honestly, nothing else has ever measured up. The Neotec 3 has been exceptional. The pads were a little snug during the first week or so, but that’s pretty normal with a new helmet. Once it settled in, it really showed why people put it at the top of the modular lineup. Solid build, great comfort, and it just disappears on your head in the best way. For me, it’s exactly what I expect from SHOEI after all these years.
