MERCHANDISING ASSISTANT

Helmet House is the leading U.S. distributor of helmets and apparel in the Motorcycle and Powersports industry. We are in search of a detailed oriented Merchandising Assistant for our Merchandising Team that will support the Brand Managers in executing brand strategies, coordinating marketing campaigns, and managing daily administrative tasks.

Our Company was founded in 1969 and has its headquarters and a distribution center in Calabasas Hills, CA along with an eastern distribution point in Southaven, MS. Our digital marketing team is located in Lake Oswego, OR. For decades Helmet House has supplied Powersports Dealers across the U.S. with two of the world’s top helmet brands. Helmet House is the exclusive US supplier for SHOEI Helmets, Sidi boots, Kriega and Fasthouse, while also distributing HJC, Alpinestars, 100%, Molecule, Pinlock, Cardo, Quad Lock and Sena to motorcycle dealerships in the United States. The Tourmaster, Cortech, and NORU motorcycle apparel brands are manufactured and marketed directly by Helmet House. The premium brands we carry represent our commitment to the motorcycle industry and our dealer partners.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicative, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, in-office position based at our headquarters in beautiful Calabasas Hills, CA.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist the Brand Manager in planning and executing marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Maintain brand documentation, presentations, reports, and marketing calendars.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, prepare price files in Excel, upload price files and temporary sales, plus tracking follow-up actions.  
  • Manage internal and external communications related to brand initiatives.
  • Liaise with creative, marketing, and sales teams to ensure brand consistency.
  • Support in market research, competitor analysis, and reporting.
  • Monitor social media and digital platforms for brand presence and performance.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, expense tracking, and file management.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of administrative or marketing support experience (brand experience preferred).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; with strong Excel skills, including basic functions like VLOOKUP, & data management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Some understanding of financial calculations including cost of goods sold calculation. 
  • Knowledge of the powersports industry, & being a rider is a plus but not necessary. 
  • Familiarity with brand management tools and CRM systems.
  • Experience in social media coordination and content scheduling.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
